2016 Black Sears Zinfandel
There’s no question about it: The Black Sears Vineyard is pretty mind-blowing. Perched at just around 2,400 feet of elevation on Howell Mountain, it’s a sight to be seen. Rich volcanic soil, cool Pacific breeze and craggy old vines dating back to 1975 make this vineyard THE place to grow hardy Zinfandel.
The 2016 vintage may be our fullest-bodied and most structured Zinfandel yet. The color of a dark garnet jewel with aromas of cool forest floor, black pepper, tobacco, and a touch of cherry rushing out of the glass. Velvety and opulent across the palate, this mouthwatering Zinfandel bursts with flavors of ripe blackberry, cloves, nutmeg, and mixed berry pie. Perfect for a night by the bonfire or pairing with braised short ribs.
Simply the best way to experience the power and magic of Howell Mountain.
