Our Portrait Series pays homage to small-town Americana. It’s our chance to play with and try out different blends and blending techniques from the vineyards we hold dear. Each year, the blend may be a little different, but the story is the same. Hard work and lots of love make for great tasting wine from greatly admired vineyards.
2018 Homegrown White Wine - Bright with fresh aromas of Meyer lemon, grapefruit, and lime. Light and crisp with delicate minerality and plenty of acid, Homegrown is an easy-drinking complement to afternoon picnics, sunset evenings on the porch and al fresco dinners. The refreshing, citrus-driven flavor profile of the blend makes it a perfect addition to light, fresh dishes - think shrimp scampi, grilled tacos, or roasted halibut.
2017 Father & Son Red Wine - A blend of 47% Carignane, 23% Petite Sirah, 14% Charbono, 6% Zinfandel, 5% Grenache, 4% Syrah, and 1% Barbera. Sourced from heritage vineyard sites, this elegant red is bursting with notes of bright and juicy tart cherries with layers of cedar, herbs, and fall spices.
2017 And We All Grow Old Carignane/Mataro - A stunning dark ruby red color in the glass, this wine exudes gorgeous aromas of cherry, licorice, spices and dark florals along with tart black raspberry. Cherry, fresh currants, boysenberry, and black-plum-skin flavors meet with white pepper and lavender touches. The very expressive concentration of fruit mixes with bright flavors of medium acid and dusty tannins.
2017 Distant Past Petite Sirah/Zinfandel - Brooding and deep, this wine elicits notes of dark berries, a touch of leather, dusty backroads and cocoa nibs. Rich fruit flavors and grippy tannins cover every inch of the palate with effortlessly integrated complexity.
